Protiva Portfolio

The Protiva product portfolio includes:

Smart cards, which are the heart of the system, providing the intelligence and security necessary to ensure strong authentication. The smart card solutions support internationally recognized standards such as Open Platform, Java Cards, ISO and USB. In addition smart cards support FIPS and Common Criteria certifications. Adherence to recognized standards such as these ensures interoperability, lower costs to implement and maintain, and compatibility with future platforms.
Smart Card Hardware Enablers house smart cards in various forms of handheld devices providing the flexibility that allows users to securely conduct business online in a personal, easy and cost effective manner. These devices are available in either a “connected” mode (plugged into a USB port on the computer) or an “unconnected” mode.
Smart Card Software Enablers:
- An Authentication Server, which communicates with the AAA server via the strong authentication agent, handles user enrolment and validates user credentials (for example, one-time passwords).
- A Customer Care web portal, which provides functions for managing users, policies, transactions and more.
- PC Client Browser Plug-ins, which communicates with the smart card on the user’s PC and simplifies the user experience. The browser plug-in also works hand-inhand with the smart cards to implement anti-phishing solutions by protecting users from providing their credentials to possible phishing sites.
