The product suite consists of the following:

What is vSEC:CMS Operator Token ?

The vSEC:CMS Operator Token is a secure, easily integrated and cost effective solution to manage an enterprise's end user smart cards. The complete system is delivered on a Gemalto SEG (Secure Enterprise Guardian) secure USB token with the application and all settings and credentials residing securely on the USB token - no installation is required on the target system. The vSEC:CMS Operator Token is fully functional with Gemalto .NET PKI cards / USB tokens. It requires nly 15 minutes of installation/integration.

Using the vSEC:CMS Operator Token requires two factor authentication, i.e. something you know (a secret password i.e. PIN) and something you have (possession of the secure USB token). This is the recommended high level of authentication security for most enterprises that use smart cards. All the crypto functions and keys used by the system are done strictly on the secure USB token. The databases used in the system are encrypted with hardware protected keys. Disaster recovery for stolen tokens is also available.

The already complete smart card management system has been extended with several new and powerful features such as:

  • Connetion of smart cards to users in a user directory (for example MS Active Directory);
  • Direct connection to the Certificate Authority - to simplify smart card issuance and management;
  • Synchronization Server - to support distributed and large scale usage;
  • New menu based user interface - to simplify interaction;
  • More detailed repository views - for efficient administration;
  • Secure AutoStarter - to always enable auto start when the Operator Token is inserted.

The system is tested and is functional with 50 000 registered user smart cards. It supports Gemalto .NET PKI cards / USB Tokens.
