Pilot DMC project started with Slovenian provider

Elatec launched a new pilot project for DMC (Device Management Center) Platform in Slovenia with IZI mobile.
Device Management Center is intended for mobile operators willing to increase ARPU, promote new services, reduce operational costs and fully control handset lifecycle.
This intelligent and proactive device management and provisioning system supports hundreds of existing phone models as well as new phones based on OMA-DM open standard. The DMC provides operators with a complete set of Device Management features such as parameters provisioning capabilities for GPRS, WAP, MMS, Email and other settings or OTA firmware update for OMA-DM compliant devices. These features allow the mobile user to work with the same data on different devices and to upgrade to a new device without hassling and keeping its data.
Furthermore, the Device Management Center may host value-added applications, either turnkey-provided by our partner or developed by the operator or a third party using our Management Toolbox. Such applications include auto-provisioning, user data backup/restore service, stolen phones management, illegal use tracking, mobile diagnosis and fault reporting. A SS7/SIGTRAN interface allows to directly interwork with HLR network offering additional features and retrieving in real-time mobile characteristics for all devices.
