ready to use technology for RFID access applications
01.10.2008
Switching of existing authentication application to RFID based technology e.g. for office automation or access control now becomes simple and cost effective. The new reader family, called TWN3, is available from stock as plug & play boards for initial equipment and retrofitting of integration of RFID functionality.
Those RFID boards and desk readers – customizable via individual designable inlays – are ready to use and available with USB and RS232 interface.
Even from software interface point of view existing access applications can easily be upgraded from PIN entry or magstripe card to RFID.
Operating as keyboard emulation device received RFID data are sent to the application directly operating like a remote control of the application.
TWN3 readers can be programmed with a script language. Then even complex operations like password login, key handling, increment and decrement functions can be executed autonomously.
Optional the readers can operate in a virtual COM-port mode. Then application controlled full read and write access to transponder is available.
This ready to use TWN3 reader family supports nearly all RFID transponders used for access applications at 125 kHz and 13,56 MHz: LEGIC (advant and prime), HID prox, HID iClass, 125 kHz Multitags (EM410x, HITAG-1, HITAG-2, HITAG-S, EM4150, T5567, Q5) and MIFARE (Ultralight, 1k, 4k, DESfire). After integration of the first TWN3 reader, all mentioned RFID standards can be used without additional integration work.
