Micro9 – slim, the Mini PC board

Contec, the Austrian producer of embedded boards for industrial applications, introduces a new mini board of Micro9-slim designed on the basis of ARM920T core from Cirrus Logic
Due to its low price, small size and good hardware equipment the new Micro-9 Slim is intended for embedding in electronic devices and appliances with Windows CE or Linux OS. Board connection to environment is carried out through two 100-pin connectors or a customer base board.
The ARM920T is a 32-bit microprocessor with a five stage pipeline achieving high performance at low power consumption. There is no delay due to two implemented 16kB caches for instructions and for data. Fixed-point and floating-point calculations are performed by a math coprocessor. Fixed-point operations are processed during one instruction cycle without any delay time, which results in unique speed and performance, e.g. when decoding digital audio or video formats, data processing via Ethernet and carrying out other operations demanding high math performance. The board supports a wide range of monochrome, TFT and CRT displays up to the resolution of 1280 x 1024 dots and 3x6 bites RGB per pixel. 16-bit PWM is available to control contrast. Debugging is possible with JTAG. The board is equipped with a wide range of interfaces which makes it flexible in to embedded it to many applications.
