Princeton Technology Corp. (PTC) has developed a new product line of Lighting ICs, which include the High Power LED Driver IC series and the Dimming Controller IC series
The PTC’s High Power LED Driver ICs (the PT69XX series) have the advantages of multiple protection schemes and high efficiency. In addition, each member of the series provides accurate luminance control which assists in decreasing cost and simplifying design. The PT69XX series may be applied to LED backlighting, DC/DC or AC/DC LED devices, constant current lighting and decorative lighting applications. The PT6904 may also be used in automotive interior lighting.
Another key series are Dimming Controller ICs (the PT56XX series). The PT5611 and PT5631 are Dimming Ballast Controller ICs which implement closed-loop phase control. The external programmable features of the PT5611 and PT5631 support a high degree of flexibility for the ballast design engineers. Additionally, the PT5621 is a 3-way Dimming CFL Controller IC and implements closed-loop current feedback control. It also supports accurate switching frequency and oscillation frequency. It can easily substitute the other IC products with the same specification. The PT5621 may be applied on the three-way switch dimming products. The PT56XX series can support 2 kinds of packages of DIP16 and SOP16.
